Create Effective Outline For Your Articles

Posted by admin under Article, Main Content

Happy New Year 2009

Wishing all readers a Happy New Year! Let’s create a brilliant beginning for the year 2009. Make goals that you are committed to and continue to expand your life by becoming, richer in terms of financially, physically, mentally and spiritually!

You’ve learnt it during school, creating outlines for your articles. There’s one of the important things to do before you begin writing your articles. We’ve done it a lot of times and most of us dislike writing essays. However, articles are used to promote, publicize and discuss about various products or services.

Some people will rather just to have the brief concepts rather than the writing the whole article. But for writers or publishers, they don’t mind finishing the entire process of article writing. There are different ways to write articles efficiently and having an outline will help greatly.

By creating an outline before you start writing an article, you are more prepared with the content that you are going to write. This makes the writing process much easier. It’s critical that you have the general ideas of what articles you want to write, then create an organized plan on a piece of paper on how you want to write the article.

Before the construction takes place, a blueprint is created first. It’s the same when you write your article. An outline is your blueprint. Usually, you will start off with introduction, then body, followed by your conclusion. With the outline, you will be able to doodle down key ideas or sentences that you want to include in your article.

As you proceed writing your articles, you will not lose the previous thoughts that you have as they are written on the outline. You will be able to write with more confidence and create your own writing style to appeal to your followers.

Treat every article as a construction or an art piece. You want to be prepared with an outline to know how your finished article will look like. Here are some methods that you can use to create an outline instantly:

-Brainstorming for ideas and write down whatever that comes to your mind. Think of what you will be writing about and come up with content that will interest your readers. Do a little research on the knowledge that you are lacking of or need more clarification. Your article will then become informational and interesting at the same time.

-Create sub-topics for your body of content. They should be related to the main content of your article and they are to create additional value to your article.

-Finish your sub topics with a sentence that triggers thoughts back to the main point and proceed to the next sub topic that supports the article.

-When doing the conclusion, summarize the key points discussed in the articles and draw a conclusion that is already emphasized in the introduction.

-While you are writing your article, make your first draft quickly and pay less attention to grammar or spelling mistakes, you can edit them later.

After completing your first draft, go through your articles a few times to make it better. Read it from the readers’ point of view. Ask yourself a few questions before you publish it.

-Does it serve its purpose?
-Is it educational enough?
-Where can I make it better?

After you have written the outline, you can always refer back to it, so that when you write, you won’t drift away from the main points. You will find it easier to keep yourself on track and write with more confidence after you’ve prepared an effective outline.
